Strong Mathematicians show their thinking in different ways
We worked out the answer to 40 + 45. Look at the different ways we showed our thinking. We all got the same answer!

| Te Atawhai used her doubles and added 40 + 40 together. That made 80. Then she added on the 5. 80 + 5 = 85! |
